LICÁNTROPO®

As a
UX Designer and Content Creator in this partnership, my role involved spearheading ongoing media initiatives to boost website traffic and strengthen the brand identity. Over the course of one year, I worked in this capacity while also fulfilling commitments to other brands under the same ownership.

LICÁNTROPO® designs its jewelry from the human alter ego with mystical, reflective, and consistent premises. It uses fantastical stories to intertwine with those of its users and manifests that identity is as firm as it is multifaceted.

When I took on this role, it effectively kickstarted the brand. At that time, the brand was transitioning from a gallery to an e-commerce store. Therefore, in addition to consolidating concepts and translating ideas into cohesive graphic proposals, my primary task was to establish an e-commerce ecosystem.

FIRST INSIGHTS

MYTHICAL / CLASSIC / CONTEMPORARY / ALTERNATIVE

  • Transform the gallery website into a dynamic e_commerce platform.

  • Incorporate jewelry design concepts into graphic elements.

  • Develop comprehensive infographics to improve the digital presence.

As this project was still in development when I began, I had the opportunity to freely explore new graphic trends that aligned with the brand's identity.

I noticed that the founder used this brand as his own playground for craftsmanship techniques, infusing his jewelry designs with unique parts of his personal story and soul.

Drawing inspiration from this, I immersed myself further into the storytelling of each collection. Following thorough research and the creation of mood boards, I found Illustrator and Photoshop to be the perfect tools for developing all media content.

After the new content had been running on social media and received feedback from its community, I began translating the positive aesthetic to the ecommerce website built on Squarespace®.

During this phase of the project, I focused not only on designing an effective user experience for the website but also on developing visuals that were aligned with each concept.

Sections such as FAQs, Size Guides, and Inventory had to be developed from scratch. Although this experience was quite complex, it definitely helped me understand the logistics behind e-commerce platforms.

To manage inventory and orders for production more effectively, I took the initiative to construct Google Sheets. This allowed us to have better control over our stock and improve efficiency with our data management. *Examples are above.

Implementing this system at the time significantly enhanced the quality of our service and positively impacted our workflow.

Before uploading inventory to the website, we completed a detailed sheet for each piece from every collection. Utilizing visual representations of this data enabled us to speed up decision-making on pricing, copywriting, and internal code tagging.

This chart visually compares the duration of customers' online purchases in minutes before and after building the ecommerce platform on Squarespace.

After these implementations, it's truly gratifying to see that Licrántropo® continues to embrace most of the ideas that originated from this partnership.

The personal relationship and admiration for the founder also persist.

*As the website and social media channels remain active, there may have been changes from the versions depicted in this portfolio.

*I extend my special gratitude to Pedro Pérez, Rodrigo Hernández, Vania Méndez, and Andrea Zuno; without their support, my experience wouldn't have been as exceptional.
